Gymnastics has come to a close again. We could not be more proud of C! She has grown up so much since the last round of gymnastics. She sits on her carpet square and listens intently...sometimes she lays while she listens but you know, she's not even 3 yet. :)
She does all of the stretching exercises (I wish I had a video of it...so funny to see a 3 year old's version of the stretches that the leader is doing.) :) and pays close attention to the songs and the clapping warm-ups that they do. 
She goes around with her group to each station and tries everything. 
She loves the balance beam (can even do a somersault on it with help) and the trampoline is probably her favorite. 
She does a bear crawl super well on the parallel bars (that are about 5 inches from the ground). :) 
My favorite is watching her on the "high" bar. She is so strong somehow! She is really good at hanging from it and pulling herself up and her legs up and through her arms...just a strong little belly on this girl. 
She loves it all and does it all by herself now without us walking around with her but often comes running over to us for a hug and a high five. :) 
It's just been fun to watch. She has a little buddy named Luke, 
he's also been in the nursery with her from the beginning. On Sundays even when she was just 18 months old or so we'd ask who she played with and she'd say, "Luke & Abby." :) She often tells stories of things he did even when he wasn't there lol. Luke's mom calls them salt and pepper. :) They're pals.

and then they played the Olympic theme song while they marched in holding their team's sign. I almost got teary but didn't. :) Luke was holding their sign, he's so cute. C passed him up when Miss Kelly said to walk in and wave, which she did proudly. :) 
Then they did their little individual performances. C chose the high balance beam and jumped off into a "ta-da" at the end. 
She did it in front of everyone-just so fun to watch. Then they had the awards ceremony and everyone went up individually for a trophy.

Looking forward to next spring. :)
