Wow-It's been FOREVER

So a LOT has happened in our lives the past several months.

In April David went full-time at Westerville Christian. We LOVE LOVE LOVE this church and feel more at home here than at any other church we've been at...it's a wonderful feeling.

We had our saddest time as a family when David's dad passed away in June. It's just not the same without him - we miss him badly. Cara talks about him from time to time. We love visiting Grandma and spending time with her. Our hearts just ache for the loss she has suffered.

In August I got a full-time teaching job for OHVA. I teach from home online. It's been the perfect fit for our family so far.

Cara started preschool this year, I can't believe how big our girl is getting to be. I'll post pics soon when I'm on my other computer...just wanted to post SOMETHING to try to get back into the habit of posting. :)

Some of her favorite things to say these days are:
"You just gave me a great idea!!"
"Momma...know what?!..."
"Momma, can you please not talk when I say this and don't be mad?" or "Daddy, can you please not say anything when I say this and don't be frustrated?" This CRACKS US UP!

She also just read her first book, BISCUIT...I read it to her a couple of times one day and told her I thought she could read it and the next day I walked in her room and she said look! i reading this book! I sat down and she had memorized every page!! She read the whole thing to me word for word...she's such a sharp little one. It's a stage of reading for sure, I just hope she always is this fond of reading and that it comes easy for her. It always frustrated me. We're proud of her for sure.
