Find Your Easter Basket

This is a fun idea. We decided to hide C's Easter basket this year. We got the idea from Greg & Tricia, they were talking about it at lunch and it sounded super fun. Needless to say-it was fun! We've got another tradition now!!! We love starting new traditions. A girl at church who is 21 said that if she wants an Easter basket-she STILL has to find it! LOVE THAT!! Can't wait to hide it for years to come!

So this is what we did. We made a trail of grass for her to follow to her room where her basket was 'hiding.' Then we watched her play with the grass trail. Then we waited as she cleaned up some of the grass trail. We watched her come halfway down the hall-peek into the office and then turn around and go back to play with the grass some more. And finally we watched her 'find' her basket!! Precious. She is simply precious. (It was on the rocking chair.) We didn't want to really, really hide it since this was the first year. :)

After that she played with her toys for a while (until we put her in her jammies for her nap)...and for a few minutes after that.

We had to rush to get a short nap in before the big egg hunt.

After a morning of amazing worship, picking up a sad girl from the nursery with blisters on both feet, getting all dressed up only to dress back down, a good lunch with friends/family & no wait at the restaurant, an afternoon of fun with our girl and a time of watching her get so excited about every little gift, and of course the most excited about the cheapest of gifts, the highlight of the day was talking to her about Jesus & the reason for Easter. There were a lot of good times today but the best moment for me was when I laid her on the floor to get her jammies on and told her I was thankful for Jesus she said in the cutest - & a little excited/hyped up on sugar tone, "I thankful for Jesus too momma!"
