No-No's

Lately C has had a sneaky side to her. There are certain things in the house that she is not allowed to play with for various reasons-typically she could either get hurt or she could break the item. She usually stays away from these 'no-nos' but every now and then she tries to sneak in and get away with playing with the 'no-no.'

One example is my laptop. After removing a couple of keys and spilling her pear juice on it it's a definite no-no for her. So now, instead of coming right out and trying to get to the laptop she'll pretend she wants to snuggle with me...then she'll slowly edge toward the side of the couch where the laptop is sitting...then she'll scoot her feet over and touch the keys with her feet while pretending to not know what she's doing. It's funny to watch, she thinks she's so sly. She will also point to the screen (at her picture) and say 'baby' in the cutest voice...we get caught up in how cute she's being and before you know it she's poking the screen with that little cute finger.

Another example is the Gazelle...she'll go over and look all cute at us...which makes us inclined to grab the camera and take pictures and ignore the fact that she's playing with the exercise equipment. The list is endless lately of things she tries to get to by using her cute factor...the VCR, D's XBox controllers, the video camera...she's smooth & lately seems so much taller! She can reach EVERYTHING. :) And I know it's just beginning! While I look forward to the day when she's old enough to lose interest in the 'no-nos' I also know that will mean she's growing up so I cherish these times.
