Favorite Spot

Cara has a favorite spot. She goes there with books to read, to watch TV and videos, to drink her juice, to escape getting her jammies on, to run to right after getting jammies on, or just to sit and smile & make faces. You might be thinking it's her Elmo chair but nope, it's with her daddy. I can't tell you the number of times I've come in the room lately to find them cuddling or giggling. It's so sweet. Today we were reminiscing of when she was just a little peep barely able to make noises and DAILY he would come home and sit her up on his chest and she would just coo and coo at him and tell him ALL kinds of stories! Then she would pause and he would say something like, "really, and then what happened?" and she would continue ahhing and oooing. It seems like forever ago that she was so tiny. Still to this day when he gets home she has LOTS to say but it's much more jabbery and with MUCH emotion and inflection. She's so funny with her little language. She's always had a love for telling her daddy stories of our day.

I'm thankful for a husband who knows how to treat our daughter. He's always been a sweetie and I always knew he'd be a wonderful daddy. Throughout the day or at night when we're chatting, or driving, or just hanging out he'll randomly say, "I Love Her." And it shows. I hope she realizes how much she is loved by us and that truly, only God can love her more.
